Rail on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge

While regional officials ponder the fate of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, studies of the Capitol Beltway continue, including whether to put  high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes on the  I-495 bridges.  Meanwhile,  construction on the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge continues to progress ahead of schedule. But there is a missing piece: rail! Getting rail on the bridge is critical for the future of the whole National Capital region. Thanks to Senators Sarbanes and Mikulski, the recent federal transportation bill authorized the needed engineering analysis for rail.  Now we need the funding. Call your federal and state officials and tell them we need rail on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and that means money from Washington and Annapolis to get us there. For more information, visit  n
