Join us in our efforts to reduce Montgomery County's carbon footprint! Here's how.

Energy Efficiency Advocates

Meet with members of the County Council and staff from the County Department of Environmental Protection to craft and promote legislation and programs that effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Energy Efficiency House Meeting Leaders

Help teach others, while gaining handy tips yourself, about important actions you can take in your home to save energy (and money too)! We have a number of easy, fun ways to get involved in this program:

  • Host a meeting! Let your home be the teaching tool for our energy efficiency educators!
  • Get the word out! Contact others to attend and host the meetings.
  • Lead a energy efficiency house meeting for your neighborhood association or place of employment! Observe one or two house meetings and then lead your own. We provide support and educational hand-outs.

Energy Efficiency Media Campaigner

Develop and launch a media campaign that (1) promotes energy efficiency programs in Montgomery County and (2) builds support and adequate funding for these programs.

Home Energy Audit Hosts

Host an energy audit of your home to educate and motivate others to do the same and take action to reduce their energy use.
