Two night backpacking trip in Cranberry Wilderness, West Virginia. Our trip covered about 17 miles
of the Beechy and Middle Fork trails.

The Cranberry Wilderness is a 35,864 acre area in the Monogahela National Forest. The Forest Service purchased
this area in 1934 from the lumber company and the Civilian Conservation Corps converted some of the old railroad grades to Forest Service roads. In 1983 the area became part of the National Wilderness Preservation system.
