The Sierra Club Potomac Region Outings (SCPRO) organizes hikes and multi-day outings for the Sierra Club Chapters in the metropolitan DC-VA-MD area. No membership is required to join these events, but membership in the national Sierra Club is encouraged.
Hikes are rated on a scale of A to H where H is most difficult. The rating is based on linear distance and elevation change.
Participants assume all risks and liability and must sign the Sierra Club liability waiver. SCPRO leaders and officials are not liable for any injuries, loss or damage to people or property. Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian or give a permission slip signed by the parent or guardian to the trip leader.
It is suggested that each partipant make a $2 donation to cover SCPRO expenses.
