Support local environmental action through a special donation to the Montgomery County Group of the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club. We are working on issues that matter to you! For instance:

• Every month ... Sierra Club volunteers remove invasive plants from Blue Mash Nature Trail, Rock Creek Park, and the Underground Railroad Experience Trail, helping to save native trees and plants, conserving biodiversity, and ensuring these parks will be around for future generations to enjoy and be inspired.
• In the last year ... More than 200 people came to energy efficiency hous meetings led by Sierra Club volunteers. Participants left these meetings with tips for reducing their energy use, and their carbon footprint, by 20 to 40 percent!
• And ... we shaped the county's Home Energy Loan Program and the property tax credit program that offers as much as $250 for county residents who take steps to make their homes more energy efficient.
• This winter ... Sierra Club volunteers organized five events featuring leading experts on sustainable landscaping, storm water management, integrating native plants into landscapes, invasive species management, and options for resolving land use and environmental issues.
• And right now ... Sierra Club volunteers are working with West Gaithersburg residents to design a Master Plan for their community that embraces smart growth principles.

Our Group is 100% fueled by volunteer energy! But there are still expenses to be met—room rental fees for events; gloves, loppers and pruners to help us remove invasive plants; and informative handouts for our energy efficiency house meetings.
