Assawoman Canal Kayak, DE

After camping at Cape Henlopen, most of us joined the Delaware Sierra Club for a paddle on the Assawoman Canal near Bethany Beach Delaware. Free kayaks were provided courtesy of Coastal Kayak.

This canal will probably be much less scenic in the near future. Despite a long hard battle by the Delaware Sierra Club and local residents, DNREC is about to begin chopping down trees and dredging the canal.
