Executive Committee Election: Members Vote; Leadership Chosen

David Prosten

Members of the Anne Arundel group of the Sierra Club, who returned ballots which were printed in the last issue of the newsletter, elected some new, and some returning executive committee members to lead the group for the next year.

Six candidates appeared on the ballot, to fill five positions, but long-time executive committee member Ellen Pepin withdrew – although she will remain much involved in the group’s work, as co-chair of the Membership Committee – leaving the other five essentially unchallenged.

Thus, elected to two-year terms were newcomers (but longtime club members) Cherie Yelton and Carmen Paral, and incumbents Gene Milgram, Judy Mauriello and David Prosten. Completing the second year of two-year terms are Earl Bradley, Jan Hoffmaster, Steve Satzberg, Liz VandenHeuvel and Sue Youngs. T

he committee elected as officers: David Prosten, Chair; Jan Hoffmaster, Vice Chair; Gene Milgram, Treasurer, and Sue Youngs, Secretary. The panel meets the sond Tuesay of each month at Calvary United Methodist Church on Rowe Blvd. in Annapolis to chart the course for the 1,400-member group’s activities. Meetings are open and all members are strongly encouraged to attend.
