Directions

Elks Camp Barrett is located off of Chesterfield Road in Crownsville, MD.

 

From Washington and Virginia:

• Take Interstate Route 50 east off I-95 (about the 2 o'clock position on the beltway)
• Drive east, and take the exit for MD Route 3 North.
• Drive about 1 mile north and turn right onto MD Route 450 (Defense Highway)
• Drive 3.5 miles east and turn left on St. Stevens Church Road. (this is a T-intersection. Rut-land Rd. will intersect on the right 100 ft. further east)  
• Drive 1/2 mile north and turn right on Chesterfield Rd. (There will be a sign to Camp Barrett)
• Drive 1/2 mile to main gate entrance for camp. Will be at the peak of the hill on the right.

 

From Charles and Prince George's Counties, MD:

• Take MD Route 31 north (from places like Waldorf).
• Take the exit for MD Route 3 North (which is straight ahead)
• Drive about 1 mile north and turn right onto MD Route 450 (Defense Highway)
• Drive 3.5 miles east and turn left on St. Stevens Church Road. (this is a T-intersection. Rut-land Rd. will intersect on the right 100 ft. further east)
• Drive 1/2 mile north and turn right on Chesterfield Rd. (There will be a sign to Camp Barrett)
• Drive 1/2 mile to main gate entrance for camp. Will be at the peak of the hill on the right.

 

From Calvert and St. Mary's Counties, MD:

• Take MD Route 4 past Prince Frederick.
• Exit right and take Route 2 north towards Annapolis
• Take a left onto MD Route 242, Birdsville Road (about 2 miles before the commercial area starts on Route 2 after it intersects with Route 214.)
• About 10 miles north turn right onto MD Route 450 (Defense Highway)
• Drive 3.5 miles east and turn left on St. Stevens Church Road. (this is a T-intersection. Rut-land Rd. will intersect on the right 100 ft. further east)
• Drive 1/2 mile north and turn right on Chesterfield Rd. (There will be a sign to Camp Barrett)
• Drive 1/2 mile to main gate entrance for camp. Will be at the peak of the hill on the right.

 

From Baltimore and Areas North:

• Take Interstate Route 97 south towards Annapolis.
• Take exit 5 for Crownsville. This exit will put you on Route 178 Generals Highway south.
• Turn right at 3rd traffic light for Crownsville Rd.
• About 1 mile down the road, turn right onto Hawkins Rd.
• Look for Elks Camp Barrett sign on pine tree as you approach hill.
• Go over hill to bottom
• Slow down and prepare to stop at bottom of hill.
• The camp gates will be straight ahead.
