Useful Information

Voter Registration
Visit the Maryland State Board of Elections website to determine your polling place, to register to vote, etc!

  • Voter Registration Search & Polling Place Look-Up
  • General information about voting

    • When?
      • Polls are open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM on Election Day. Anyone in line at 8:00PM will still be allowed to vote.
    • Where?
      • Voters can only vote where they reside.
    • How?
      • For polling place voting: Voters use a touchscreen voting system to make, change, and review selections and cast a ballot. The Board of Elections website provides a demonstration of how to use the touchscreen system.
      • For absentee voting and provisional voting: Voters use a paper-based optical scan voting system. The voter is issued a paper ballot and fills in the oval next to the candidate or ballot questions response for which the voter wants to vote.
