Sierra Club's Climate Action Campaign Ready to make Maryland a leader?
Maryland is poised this year to become a nation-wide leader on global warming by cutting 90% of our global warming pollution by 2050. 80% is the target scientists say we need nation-wide. The Sierra Club has launched our Climate Action Campaign to do just that, and we need YOUR help! As the largest environmental group in Maryland with over 16,000 members, the Sierra Club is in a position to make sure the Governor does the right thing.
The Sierra Club is a steering member of The Alliance for Global Warming Solutions http://www.alliancemd.org/, a network of groups also including the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Maryland League of Conservation Voters, and Environment Maryland, who are working together to mobilize as many Marylanders as possible on this critical issue. We've got a unique opportunity to make a difference on global warming this fall by convincing the Governor to make Maryland a nation-wide leader... but we need *people* to make it happen!
