This year's themes:
State of Our National Parks as They Turn 100
Global Climate Chaos
FEATURES: Speakers and Workshops, Hikes, Saturday Night Social, Campfire Singing, Drumming Circle, Silent & Live Auction, Bird walk, Stewardship outings. Come have fun, explore the mountains and meet others from your local Sierra Club!
FOOD: All meals are included.
TRAVEL: It takes about 1 1/2 hours to drive from Washington or Baltimore. ACCOMMODATIONS: Historic 3 room cabins which sleep 10 people included in registration price. These cabins are used for a disabled childrens camp in summer. Like sheltered camping. We will assign people in categories: families, couples, singles women, singles men, night owls, mourning doves, snorers. Additionally, there are lots of hotels and camping in the vicinity; email <Jamboree@MDSierra.org> for a list.
PRICE: Regular $65, Seniors/Students/LimitedIncome $45 Non-Sierra Club members please add $10. We'll need help! Cooks and cleanup and helpers may sign up for $35 until those spaces are filled. Registration is open upon arrival at location if spaces are available, however pre-registration is GREATLY preferred for food, carpool, and workshop planning purposes. Children ages 5 and under are free.
