The Montgomery County Sierra Club raises concerns with Francoise Carrier, Chairman of the Montgomery County Planning Board, regarding proposed changes to the zoning code. We recommend a better intent statement for the Agricultural Reserve zone, increased incentives for more affordable housing, removal of language that reduces the legal basis of master plans, restrict floating zones to properties recommended in master plans, and slow down and examine the process of converting new zones.

Supervisors include transit options beyond widening of the American Legion Bridge. We urge that a separate rail-only bridge be considered with light rail connecting the Bethesda, Tyson's
