Overall, this was a great first hike by our new leader Ron, seen here chatting with our other new leader Mary, as Ron takes a last sip from his doomed water bottle.

Ground Ivy (Glechoma hederacea), a large patch on the Highland Trail.

One of many Pink Azalea (Rhododendron nudiflorum) bushes by the river.

Violet Wood Sorrel (Oxalis violacea).

Canada Mayflower (Maianthemum canadense).

One could easily bypass the green flowers of False Hellebore (Veratrum viride).
