STORMWATER
PLAN THREATENED: YOUR EMAIL NEEDED!
Dear Anne Arundel
Sierrans and Friends: The County Council
has approved a plan to establish a stormwater
utility -- a critically-needed step toward a
healthier Chesapeake Bay -- but new County
Executive Laura Neuman is under intense pressure
to veto the measure. Please email her today at
lneuman@aacounty.org , with "Please Sign
2-13" in the subject line and a request that she
sign the bill.
Stormwater is the fastest growing source of
water pollution in the state. Please send your
email today:
lneuman@aacounty.org
For a
healthy Bay,
David Prosten for the Anne Arundel Sierra
Club

The Forest Drive
Fight isn't Over Yet: Please Sign this
Petition Now!
While there's been a victory (see articles)
in the fight to save the destruction of a forest at
the Reserve at Quiet Waters -- at least for now --
we have to keep up the pressure to stop the same
thing down the road, at Crystal Spring/Masque Farm,
at the intersection of Forest Drive and Spa Road. We
can't let up now! Keep letting our elected officials
know that we're watching what they do and we insist
on responsible, environmentally sustainable
development, not just development for development's
sake.
Even if you’ve acted on this issue before, please go
to our NEW petition website
Also, continue to send letters to Mayor Cohen and
other officials.
The developers are throwing every lawyer and flack
they have into this fight, and we have to fight back
with all we have: the voice of the voters.
